Ilsington Village Shop is run on a day to day basis by a manager, an assistant manager and a group of volunteers. But behind the scenes there has always been a committee who meet every 6 weeks to discuss the shop. Their job is to support the staff and the volunteers, as well as deal with the wider aspect of running a community hub. Everything from doing a bit of DIY, running events, helping with any problems or issues that have arisen, organising the Shop grant applications and donations, looking after the accounts, ensuring we are compliant with all our legal requirements and basically making sure that our little shop continues to thrive.
